How to solve the RC car battery is weak

How to solve the RC car battery is dead, weak or not out voltage. QD RC cars, Offroads, and sedans are usually equipped with a battery pack when we buy it. It's just that the battery is not good quality. Perhaps this is just as an attraction for RC cars sold look complete and consumers stay put. Because the average age of the battery pack is not long and quickly decreased performance. It even dies and does not emit any voltage at all. In addition to the human error factor due to incorrect care, the quality also determines the battery's durability. How to handle it?
Finding the cause of the battery does not work
- first we have to check the battery voltage. Try measuring with a multitester gauge. Suppose the battery pack for the RC QD car is 9.6V, this battery is made of 8 pieces of batteries that are strung in series. One battery has a voltage of 1.2V so 8X1.2V = 9.6V.
If the measurement results below 9.6V or 0 volt, it could be one battery short. How to fix it simply by dismantling the battery pack. Open the plastic wrapper, then measure with multitester one by one. Replace if there is a broken battery and then rearranged as before.
- If the level of damage is severe, suppose the battery is short more than 2 we better make a new one. Why? This is to maintain the balance of voltage generated. Because not necessarily the same replacement battery quality.
- Why not buy a ready-to-use battery pack? Based on experience, the quality of this battery is the same as the original RC car battery. Better we assemble themselves with the usual battery charger in use in tamiya car.
How to assemble the battery pack
- Select the battery with the best brand. Do not be tempted by large Ampere capacities at low prices. Because not necessarily large ampere of good quality. For comparison, a good brand battery with a capacity of 700Mah can be equivalent to a battery without 2400Mah brand capacity.
- Clean the pole surface of the battery with sandpaper, so easy to solder. Below is an example of several series of battery packs.
- For RC cars that use Turbo mode 9.6V with 3 pin socket give connection to 6th and 7th battery to get 7.2 volt voltage. Usually blue cable color like original battery pack.
Perhaps the cost is more expensive than buying a ready-made. But in this way we can get the battery pack with good quality. And the performance of RC cars can be better speed.
