Modify Frequency RC Mini Car with ease
16 Nov 2017
One day my uncle bought a small rc car for his twin sister's birthday. Moments later there was a commotion. What happened? It turns out the children fight each other toys.
Why? It turns out that new rc cars are bought the same frequency. So one remote can run two rc cars. Then my uncle took the car to me. He asked for help so that rc cars can have different frequencies with each other.
Then how to change the frequency of mini rc car? As we know the range of rc car frequencies circulating between 27Mhz-49Mhz. In indonesia own most product from china. Can we see on the packaging written made in China.
And for their production needs make a rc car with 1 frequency channel. Generally 27Mhz, if there is 35Mhz, 40Mhz, 49Mhz only exist in certain brands. Frequency used we can see at the bottom of the body. There is also an item on the packaging.
HOW TO CHANGE FREQUENCY CAR RC CAR
There are two methods we can use. First by changing the carrier frequency, the second by changing the command code. We discussed the first. In series of transmitter or remote control there are two types of oscilator circuit. Using koker and X-tal.For the receiver circuit use only koker. How to change the frequency of rc cars that use koker simply by turning the ferrite core in the kokernya.
Be careful not to use objects with sharp edges like screwdrivers. You can make it from a toothpick, how to grab a toothpick. The tip is like a screwdriver's eye, adjust it to turn the ferrite core. Turn it clockwise or vice versa.
Previously we put the car A and car B. Let's get started ...
1. Turn on both rc cars, do not forget to put the cushion under the car so as not to run. Open the car's remote control cover A then turn it clockwise. Just slowly until RC A car can not be controlled to a minimum (- / + 10 Cm).
If you can drop a candle sufficiently above the ferrite core. This prevents the ferrite core from rotating itself due to vibration.
2. Now we set the car rc A so same frequency with remote control A that has been changed. Open the car body and turn on the remote control. Turn the ferrite core of the receiver circuit circuit just like the first point.
But now rc A car must be controlled as far as possible. If it is, drop the candle to taste.
3. If the remote control uses X-Tal, look at the X-Tal body of the listed frequency. Replace with different value, automatic frequency change.
After X-Tal is replaced, we compare the receiver frequency (same way as point 2).
After all is done, reattach the remote control and the car body cover. Now you have two rc cars A and B with different frequencies.
This method still has a deficiency where one day A car can still be controlled by remote control B even if only a fraction of a second. And it's still natural.
